Running it live
- Same card for everyone: hit "Copy share link" — everyone who opens it gets an identical card, so the first BINGO is fair.
- Different cards: everyone mashes "New card" instead — more chaos, fair enough.

The daily standup is the same fifteen minutes every day, which is both its strength and its cost. Standup bingo adds variety without changing a single word of the ceremony: the blockers, the LGTMs, the flaky test, the ticket that has been “still in review” since the previous fiscal year. Nobody has to speak differently. Things simply become scoreable.
Variants for engineering teams
- LGTM blackout: one sprint review, one card, whole grid.
- Incident bingo: keep a card pinned by the on-call rotation. “Prod is down” is worth double during an actual incident.
- Retro double feature: standup card in the morning, retro card in the afternoon. Some squares appear in both, which is itself a finding.
- Story point poker: not bingo, but someone at your standup will suggest it anyway.

Frequently asked questions
Will this make our standup longer?
No — marking a square takes half a second, and “I’m blocked” was already being said. The ceremony is untouched; only the spectating experience improves.
Is “works on my machine” on the card?
Obviously. It is the square most likely to be marked before the standup even starts.
Can product managers and designers play?
Yes — “scope creep” is on the card for a reason, and it can be marked by anyone who witnesses it, from any discipline.
Print or play online?
Both. Print a set for the team area, or share a link in the standup channel so remote teammates play the same card as the room.
