How to run meeting bingo
Before the meeting: generate a card, print a bulk set with the call sheet, and hand them out with pens. Or paste the share link into the calendar invite so everyone on the video call plays the same card.
During the meeting: silent play only. Mark your squares, keep your face neutral, and never call out a square the moment it happens — that is exactly how bingo gets banned by management.
The win: the first full line shouts BINGO at the next natural pause. Blackout is reserved for meetings that run past the hour. The winner is traditionally rewarded with coffee, bragging rights, or nothing at all.
House rules that keep it fun
- Agree on the pack before the meeting starts — surprises favor the fast reader.
- Paper cards stay below the desk line; browser cards stay in a side tab.
- Mark jargon, never people. “Let’s align” is a square; your colleague’s voice cracking is not.
- If someone says “let’s park that” twice in one minute, that is one square — but you are allowed to make eye contact with another player.
